Abstract:With the advances of technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the biomanufacturing industry, China’s demand for high-level innovative talents in green biomanufacturing is urgent. This essay discussed the issues in the cultivation mode of talents in the fermentation engineering field for professional degree postgraduates majoring in biological and medical sciences. Through a thorough analysis of the matching between industry demand and talent training, we optimized the integration mode between production and education and promoted the reform of the curriculum development and evaluation system. We explored and practiced the teaching models such as industry-driven teaching, integration of education and production, joint guidance, and project integration to encourage both enterprises and universities to participate in the whole-process cultivation of professional degree postgraduates. We build a training system with one core (cultivation of high-level innovative talents), two fusion (production and education, engineering and technology), three channels (research training, dissertation, and engineering practice), and four chains (talent chain, industrial chain, education chain, and innovation chain). Integrating politics, production, education, research, and application, this system could cultivate more high-level innovative talents for China’s biomanufacturing.
